Anxiety

Updated, June 2018.

I am freaking out. I have a geometry quiz tomorrow and I was up too late working on a computer program, so I really didn’t study and as I was leaving the house my mom reminded me how important all my grades are so now I feel more pressure. I just know I will fail and life as I know it will be over!

Calm down, Steve. It’s just a quiz. And in geometry – you’ll be fine.

No, I won’t, Taylor. I know geometry well enough to know I don’t know the material. And a quiz is serious. It gets weighted into my grade, which counts toward my whole average, which might come down, which might hurt my chances of getting into a good college or finding a great job, which…

Stop! You’re freaking ME out! I’ve never looked at school that way and seeing you like this, I’m glad I haven’t. Seriously, Steve. Get a grip.

Steve normally has a grip, but today he seems anxious about his upcoming quiz because he doesn’t feel prepared and his mother’s comment escalated his worries. Sometimes, even the slightest comment can push us over the edge because we can handle only so much at once. Managing workloads and life commitments can feel overwhelming at times, to anyone!

Of course, we all feel anxious from time to time. So how do you know when it might be a problem? How do you know when you might need a little help managing your anxious feelings? I feel anxious most of the time.My mom always tells me to take a deep breath and slow it down. In my opinion i think it is partially severe because there not a time where i do not feel anxious. However it could be a good anxious like excitement. Or the bad kind, worry, fear, over obsessing about anything negative.

I feel anxious pretty often and it depends on the situation how severe it can get.

Honestly, most of the time i am anxious. I had a panic attack yesterday morning for like an hour and i could not calm down no matter how hard i tried. Not that i really know how to manage it but it is usually less severe then that.. I have anxiety about normal like school or family things but this was just out of the blue. but i mean i guess it might be bad if i feel anxious most of the time i dont really know.

I do not feel anxious a lot, but it is not rare when I am anxious. I the most anxious when I have a test or a quiz and I normally get very nervous right before the test or quiz and that happens kind of often.

I feel anxious sometimes when I’m in certain situations. If I’m meeting someone for the first time and don’t know them. Or if I have a quiz that I know I didn’t study for and know I’m going to fail. Loud places I don’t know make me anxious.

I feel anxious at least once a day. This is because of the stress school brings me, all the tests quizzes, homework, and social life causes all of it to build up making me anxious. The situation will determine the severity. Like if it is a test I did not study for or waiting for a response I get very very anxious. But if it is just like homework that I may have messed up, or waiting to meet someone new, it is not that bad.
