My lab partner says he gets high on pot everyday at school. Isn’t that illegal?
Absolutely. It’s not legal in any state for anyone under 21. Plus, I think it’s dumb. What’s the point of messing with your brain like that?
I think he’s really shy and does it to feel more relaxed at school.
There are much better ways to relax than that! How does he do in lab?
Um, well, he doesn’t really focus all that well, so I end up having to do a lot of the work. It’s kind of annoying.
I’d say so.
But I don’t want to rat him out. You know, I don’t want people to see me as, you know, a tattle tale. So I play along like I’m cool with it.
Well, I wouldn’t be cool with it. I’d at least say something to him.
But you’re like you, Steve, and I’m like, well, me. I care about being popular.
Many kids are just like Taylor… worried about what saying “No” or saying anything about drug use will make them look like to their peers. Plus the information surrounding pot makes it hard to understand just what you are saying “no” to, as people have conflicting views on whether or not it is harmful. But, teens need to know the facts before making judgements and that’s what this post will do—provide the facts.
This post on marijuana will cover:
The motivation behind marijuana use
DID YOU KNOW? Pot can be classified as a depressant, stimulant, or hallucinogen. However, it’s never classified as an opiate.
